Live Healthier Havering – Learning Disability offers a free weight management programmes specifically for people with a mild to moderate learning disability, supported by their carers/family member.
The 12 week programme is delivered by a weight management and exercise specialist along with a learning disability support assistant, and is designed to be appropriate and engaging for people with mild to moderate learning disabilities.
The weekly 2hr sessions combine education and physical activity to support weight loss. On completion of the programme follow up support will be available to continue positive lifestyle changes.
